Thank you for visiting my art page. I hope you have liked what you have seen so far.

My name is Ruby and I'm a stay-at-home mum to my 2 beautiful sons. During the lockdown, I fell back in love with art and discovered it was a wonderful way to help process my mental health challenges.

This About page is a work in progress (I'm not very good at telling my story) but I will update it soon.

My Art

I am an intuitive abstract expressionist, known for my bold, impulsive use of colour. When I’m in the thralls of creation, all my inhibition falls away. Stripping me of my anxiety and self-doubt, leaving me exposed. Able to simply exist in that moment of pure creation.

I’ve been told that my work is reminiscent of Pollock and Rothko. Both for the bold swaths of colour you can see in my darker works, and the bold & bright pieces where the paint is applied in an energetic, explosion of creativity.

I work primarily with Acrylic, and love using fluorescent, iridescent and glow-in-the-dark paints. My artwork is bold, emotive, textured and multi-layered.
